What some Ghanaians are hoping for in 2026

2026 is finally here, and with renewed hopes, interests, and ambitions, some Ghanaians have already been sharing their New Year expectations.

GhanaWeb spoke with a few holiday revelers on January 1, 2026, at the Laboma Beach, and they shared varied expectations for the year.

“I want a better me for 2026. We want change, but I know not everyone is ready to change, so I just want a better me and good friends I can grow with,” a lady shared with the team.

A gentleman also added that, “In 2026, I just want to learn new ways of making money and how money works, and also investment information out there that people do not have hands-on knowledge about. Overall, I just want to be financially literate and also look back at 2025, learn what I did wrong, and try to correct it in 2026.”

From business success to education, self-improvement and empowerment, marriage, and financial literacy and stability, among others, these are some of the things the Ghanaians who spoke with GhanaWeb are expecting and hoping for, with faith and determination, in 2026.
